PHOS-FIEND curated by Adriana Pauly, May 18 - June 5 2016, Wed- Sun, 11am- 6pm @ 284 Grand Street NY/NY.

When I first moved to New York, I was drawn to spaces that reminded me of saturated southern light. In Jackson Heights, Chinatown, and Flushing Queens I look to bodega windows to learn how the frame can function as an auratic and colorful form. The exhibited works present a mixture of saturated colors and techniques that pay homage to the compositions NYC bodega windows and those that create them.

The title is taken from the Greek word Phosphorous, which translates to light-bringer
